It starts with the question: “How was school today?” to the daily checking and signing off on school agenda, to visits to the local library and community events, to participating in school activities.

Our Catholic School Council is a mandated group of parents who represent our parent voice. While this is a formal process, the Council members know that there are so many other ways in which our parents are supporting our great school.

Given the understanding that there is a wide variety of parent involvement “definitions”, it is often still a challenge for parents to feel like they are involved if they don’t attend the monthly meetings.

Our Catholic School Council wants to say “THANK YOU” for being involved. YOU ARE INVOLVED and we know that you do so many things outside of formal School Council Meetings to be involved in your child’s education . Many of you go on class trips, some support our school sports, some help with our special event planning, some come in and educate our students with a particular concept, some come in to do crafts, some have provided us with business contacts, some have organized and supported the school with fundraising, some have donated things, and in so many more ways, some follow-up with teacher suggestions to help your child in his or her academics or emotional well-being.  

The good news is that all of these are examples of how you, as a parent, contribute to what is known as school/family/church partnership.
